I have created several sections based on lines created in Revit and everything is working very well so far, including the cutting area of each individual section, and also the placement on a plan, except for one thing. How can I place them so that they are next to each other, since it is a wall development? (I dont know the correct translation for this, in German it means “Wandabwicklung”)
The sections should be next to each other on the plan based on their cutting area (shown in red in the picture).
Thank you very much for any help and maybe someone even has a solution for this.
Yes, something like that and the script from the link looks good but I’m having problems with it and so I’ve tried to implement some of it in my project (adopt the idea/approach) but I still have the problem that the views aren’t positioned correctly. As you can see in the screenshot, I’ve had the offset read out (length of the lines of the section lines) but the position isn’t right and there’s either a gap or an overlap even though the value is correct (in the example 1:1).
Hi @M.Tarabishy , thank you very much for your help and the time you took to help me.
Embarrassing, sometimes you don’t notice the simplest things, like for example that he uses the center and not the corners of the cuts, although I should have noticed it because the result was always the same whether with positive or negative values (which can only be the case if he uses the center and not the left edge).
Thank you very much, the Rhino community is really the best I have ever experienced.
