If I have a detail in layout space which is set to perspective, when I resize that detail, it behave like a Rhino viewport, were the view is re-centered after the change in size, which I think is fine. What I would wish for though is that if that detail is locked, it now acts like a parallel detail, where the contents of the detail stay where they are after the detail is resized. We often have leaders calling out materials or details best shown in a perspective view, and having those leaders thrown off because the view re-centered can be less than awesome.
