Hello all. I am trying to create a road along the contour using add path command in terrain tab.
Below is the image showing the centre line of road for a 20ft width.
Once I using the add path command with 20ft width and 30 deg side slope, the peripheral contour changes drastically (it should not affect to that extent) as seen below marked in red
Do you mean you are getting a path wider than expected? The shared 3dm file contains the terrain prior to adding the path, so I can’t check the width value. I recommend you to edit the path width from the Terrain Input Data properties tab. You can specify it by picking a distance in the viewport (using the Top view is recommended for better precision):
Thank you for the reply @albert. When applying width of road in command line doesn’t work well. I typed 20ft road it created 32 ft wide road. But once the road is created the option you suggested on panel to change value later did the trick. Thanks. Hope we can directly type the road width in command line only!
You are right, the command line option is not properly taking the entered value. We’ll review the procedure, and if it has to do with imperial units. Thanks for reporting it.
