Parts appearing translucent in rendered view

Hi,

After the update around new year, I’ve had the issue of parts appearing translucent in rendered view.
The material is just a stock “metal” archetype with polish at 65%.

Transperency in Rendered View

Hi @Alexander_Petersen,

Can you paste your Rhino System Information here? Help -> System Information.... Also, is it possible to attach the model here so that we can take a look? If you want to send it privately, use Rhino - Upload to Support.

@Alexander_Petersen,

Thanks for the file and the information. Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce the issue with the transparent material. Are you using a viewport display mode with modified settings? If that’s the case, can you export the display mode to a file and attach it here?

You can do it by going to Tools -> Options..., then View -> Display Modes. Click on the display mode you’re using and then Export.

Hi David,

Seems like i’ve fixed it myself.
I copied the exact settings my colleague has, which were identical to begin with, except settings in the “Shadow” tab.

It appears that i had a combination in the sliders that made some parts translucent depending on the angle, i rearranged the sliders to be exactly as my colleague had it, and the problem was gone, peculiar issue.
