Shadows seems to have dissapers with the last WIP in detail layout viewport when parallel projection are used, with occlusion or sun+sky light… is it linked?

I can reproduce the “no shadows” bug. Here is the YouTrack item: https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-41641 .

I think the other problem might be because of the bug I reported.
By the way, what happens if you switch the detail view to Perspective, and then back to your parallel view? For me that fixed the problem.

A bit tricky but seems to work… i had to move the model under perspective view before going back to ortho to get it update…

I’m glad the workaround worked. There is still of course a bug here that we need to fix. When that is fixed I will see whether it also fixed the weird clipping plane issues.
Thank you for reporting this.

Also when you zoom or dezoom on the detail view it becomes darker or clearer…
