Parametric 2d drawing and extrusion

Hello together,
I’m coming from FreeCAD and am used to do a sketch with constraints and measurements like shown in the picture. After having the 2D sketch I just extrude it.

I’d like to generate a polyline, where I can see the measurements, change them and it’s live updated in the model. As well as horizontal, vertical, equal and angular constraints.
Is something like this possible in Rhino?
Thank you
Michael

Right now Rhino has no functionality like this. Fas as I know it might be part of Rhino 9 but I’m not sure.

Honest question (o.t.): why not stick with freecad? What is it that you need that Rhino does better?

Hi Ftzuk,

thank you. It’s pity but till Rhino 9 I have to work with some workarounds.

Greetings Michael

Hi Eugen,

It’s a long story but I try to do some 3d printing with concrete and the slicer is written in Grasshopper, which takes its input from Rhino. Even step-files wich are imported in Rhino cannot be handled by the Grasshopper slicer. So I have to model anything natively in Rhino to get it sliced properly.

Greetings Michael
