When I drag a panel, lets say Layers Panel, from main screen to second screen the panel disappears as soon as I release the cursor. Any thoughts? If I revert back to Rhino 7 I’m able to move panels between screens. This is on MacOS Ventura 13.3.1.
Hi Colin-
Sorry for the delayed reply. I believe this is a case of this bug:
RH-69542 Floating Containers on Mac: floating a container outside of virtual desktop causes container to disappear
if I’m not mistaken. Does that match the buggy behavior you’re seeing?
The tell-tale sign is, after you try to drag the Layers panel to the second display, if you press Control+up-arrow you will likely see the layers panel.
Just installed Rhino8 for Mac Ventura 13.6 stand alone Mac mini M1 single screen,
not clear when but all of a sudden Rhino is gone and desktop is visible one tap and it’s back
Hi Dan, Sadly not, the panel is not visable. When I select the panel from the menu Window>Toolbars…it briefly appears on the second screen. reselecting the panel and the panel returns the main screen.
RH-69542 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 3
Service release 3 has indeed fixed this issue for me. Thanks.
Slightly different panels issue I’m having on Rhino 8 for Mac - I used to have layouts and properties stacked one above the other so always permanently on view. Is this no longer possible with Rhino 8?
I have the issue of the disappearing window/panel on my third screen with Grasshopper 2. Grasshopper 1 works well though. Greetings!
