Osnap not working

I downloaded the Rhino7 evaluation version today, and the command Onsnap is not functioning at all. Whenever I click it, the windows change size a bit as if I zoom in or out, but the command itself does not activate. This makes it incredibly difficult to do anything.

Hi @user1144
First thing to do is to run the command SystemInfo In Rhino and copy/paste the resulting text here - that’ll give us an idea of what might be wrong. Under-powered graphics card or graphics card drivers that are not up-to-date (or both!) is my first guess :grinning:

For the record, I did not have this issue with previous versions of the program.

Hello- please try running testResetWindowPositions then close and reopen Rhino - my guess is the panel is opening, but off screen, or partly off screen, and you cannot get at it.

-Pascal

Thank you! It’s working now.

Hello, I am struggling with the same problem too. Just downloaded Rhino 7 and whenever I try to enable the osnap command, the screen would just zoom in and out.

Hi Jessica -
Did you try running the testResetWindowPositions command and restarting Rhino? If so, and that didn’t do anything, please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
-wim

I am having the same issue on a Windows 11 system with Rhino 6. I am able to run the Osnap as a command line function and choose the options in the command line to turn on endpoint, midpoint, etc., but unable to see the menu or toggle it on the taskbar. I ran the testResetWindowPositions command and restarted Rhino. But cannot get Osnap to work. Here is the SystemInfo results:

@ramanagh Could it be that you are missing the statusbar? If so, running the command _Statusbar should bring it back.

If it is something different, can you show a screenshot of what you are seeing or a short video?

@Sara_Abedi did you try the solution in this post? Can you send me a screenshot of your setup or maybe a short video to see what you are seeing? I don’t see anything suspicious in your systeminfo.

@Sara_Abedi I missed that your video driver is quite old and should be updated.
