Organic Modelling

Does anyone have some recommendations for modelling these feather like structures around this sphere? I have gone at it with subD and have done a lot of manual manoeuvring but feel like there is a better workflow.

It’s getting a bit messy especially at the bottom where they meet.




I’d keep going just like you are going, then shrinkwrap the result if you need to print or fabricate it. (just close up each piece so they are

multipipe with subd may get you closer faster for the base structure then edit as needed for nuance and form-

Unfortunately I only have a Rhino 7 licence so shrink-wrap isn’t available to me! :frowning: Maybe a subD multipipe will get me a cleaner base.

It will need fabricated so this may just get moulded as one piece.
