Hello everyone,
After a lot of effort, I managed to get OpenNest working properly for non-perforated parts. However, I’m unable to achieve the same result when working with perforated parts.
The issue is that OpenNest recognizes the outer contour of a perforated part as one separate piece, and the inner contour (the hole) as another separate piece.
What I’m trying to achieve is:
-
To have perforated parts nested as a single, solid piece (outer and inner curves treated as one object).
-
Additionally, if a hole is large enough, I’d like smaller parts to be nested inside that hole.
I’m attaching two files:
-
One contains my original parts.
-
The other shows the desired result, which I achieved using another software (that I currently don’t have access to).
Could you please help me figure out how to achieve this in OpenNest?
Thanks in advance for your time and support! ![]()
