Separation of Boundary and Inside Patterns in Perforated Panels

Hi everyone,

I have a set of perforated panels with tags that I want to prepare for cutting. The problem arises when using open nest - during nesting, the boundary and the inside patterns become separate. How can I solve this issue?

can you pleace prepare a minimal file for your problem instead of the whole file.
Just internerlaise only the geometry for the open nest solver.

I guess you can use the matrix from the boundary for the inner parts.

No need for “unroll” or any plugins. This is R7.

P.S. There are various ways of labeling the OpenNest parts, this is a simple hack.

P.P.S. The white group (below) adds the labels to the original structure. Rather than duplicate the 4 MB file (again), I deleted the big Brep from this file. You can add that back in, eh?

NOTE: Some of these “faces” have their surface normals flipped.

It’s so helpful.
thanks a lot.
