Hi,
Having a serious issue with mesh objects in R7
“Closed Mesh” objects created in 3dsMax 2024 exported as OBJ when opened in Rhino
are “Closed Mesh”. On the first open as a DWG file within R7, they are “Closed Mesh”.
On the 2nd open of the DWG file within R7 (after another save to DWG) they are now “Open Mesh” files.
We have duplicated this exact same workflow on a coworkers system (same computer, software etc).
Same results.
The mesh when inspected inside of MAX has 0 problems.
When the “open mesh” components are selected and joined in Rhino, the model is now a “closed mesh” again. On next open in Rhino the model component is now an “open mesh” again.
I can upload files for review, but can not upload to the forum.
If anyone at McNeel is interested in seeing the files please let me know.
Thank you,
Walt
