Old macro doesn't work in V8

I finally started ‘experimenting’ with V8 and discovered that this macro doesn’t work with preselecting anymore (it did in all previous Rhino versions).

Alias: e
command macro:
! _select _pause _delete

It probably shouldn’t either (_select _pause), but the macro did work in earlier versions with preselected geometry as I mentioned. Any ideas how I could get the macro working again with and without preselecting?

Why this instead of just hitting the delete key?

Otherwise, I guess this script should do what you want:

import rhinoscriptsyntax as rs
objs_to_del=rs.GetObjects("Select objects to delete",preselect=True)
if objs_to_del: rs.DeleteObjects(objs_to_del)

Just old habits from my AutoCad days in the 90’s :grinning: Somehow I find it easier to hit e + spacebar than hitting the delete key on my keyboard (harder to find, somehow). However, I should perhaps try to break my old habit - the delete key is certainly more logical…
