Delete layers with delete key

Hi McNeel
So I’m not really on V8 yet, but have the eval installed. Today I had a quick STP import job and started in V8 just to give it a go - and oh, the horror! It seems from @Helvetosaur’s post that this has previously been discussed at length, but it must have been one of the few post I’ve missed (or simply forgotten about). Not being able to delete layers with the Delete key is really, really annoying! As stated in the linked post, this is the expected (and learned, from previous versions) behaviour. It might seem like an almost paper cut-size regression, but there’s a lot of muscle memory behind these little things, both from Rhino and most every other piece of software out there.

Hey @Normand,

I’m added an advanced setting so you can control this. You’ll see it in V8 SR5.

Hi Dale,
Thanks! Will be good to have back. Please do make sure that for those who do not activate this option, that it is no longer possible to delete selected objects in the Rhino window if the delete key is pressed when the cursor is over the layer panel as I show above.
