Objects showing through each other

Hi,

Is there a way to avoid objects being visible that are behind other objects like so:

Also happens in Shaded view:

I already tried TestZBiasFactor and changing the setting to less than 0.0001 but it doesn’t do anything

What else can I try?

Hei -

I’m afraid that’s a known issue - RH-61601 Display: Zbias example
I’ve added your example to this ticket.

It depends a bit on what you are trying to do, I suppose.
If you need that close-up rendering with edges, as in your first image, you could extract a copy of one of the surfaces of that small object, duplicate the border and create a hatch from that border. Then hide the small object. With BringToFront on the curve and the hatch, you’ll be able to cover the edges of the larger object:

Thanks @Wim for your reply. Annoying there’s no solution yet. I guess we’ll have to work around it somehow or just accept the look of it.

Interesting hack with the hatch and bringtofront, but this is just part of a biger scene and the line goes behind other objects which would become a problem:

I see.
In this case, and again - if this is for illustration purposes only, you could probably make that smaller object deeper and BooleanUnion it with the floor object?
