Object in Viewport (Persp) are Vanishing - HELP

Hi, I am still new to Rhino 3D.

In my learning process, I’ve downloaded a file from an online course. The objects in the Perspective viewport are vanishing as soon as I start orbiting around them. I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking online for possible solution, found nothing satisfying alas.

Anyone has any idea why this is happening?

I am running Rhino 7 (trial) on Windows 11
AMD Ryzen 9 5000 series
RTX 3070
16 gb RAM

Chapter 01-05.3dm (1.2 MB)

I’ve attached the problematic file. I wonder if it’s like a corrupted file or something like that. I tried a few other exercise file from the same source and they seem fine.

your file has a super large polysurface.

1 polysurface added to selection.
Command: BoundingBox
World coordinates:
min = 1.11111e+31,-2251799813687500.000,0.000
max = 1.11111e+31,2251799813687500.000,53.120
dimensions = 368681704866107654930432.000, 4503599627375000.000, 53.120 millimeters

whatever you did… just delete it and you re fine.

select the objects you like to keep.
_hide
ctrl a / cmd a → select all
(optional, for info above_boundingbox (output = none))
_delete
_show

hope that helps - kind regards -tom
