Notes don't display in file manager preview

When browsing either with Rhino open command or windows explorer, the notes stored in a model used to be displayed in the preview panel when a 3dm file was selected.
I remember having in the past a preview of the model when the file was selected. Later the preview was displaying the notes instead.

I noticed that none of my models are displaying neither the notes or the model preview anymore. I found this to be a really useful feature because I write notes all the time. Not sure what happened but they donā€™t display anymore ā€¦ any idea why?

Hi Juan - is this V5, or 6 or both? You just see ā€˜no preview availableā€™ in the preview window?

Hi Pascal. Itā€™s version 5 (latest). Your are correct, ā€œno preview availableā€.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the thumbnails display fine in Rhinoā€™s startup screen.

It probably is. Iā€™m in windows 8.1 and I get this error ā€¦
Itā€™s odd because as I mentioned in my OP I remember having in the past a preview of the model when the file was selected. More recently (maybe the last year or two), the preview was displaying the notes instead.

Hi Juan - you might try a Repair on the Rhino installation in Control panel > Programs and Featuresā€¦ Iā€™m still asking, here.

Thanks a lot @pascal The repair worked, I can see both the preview and the notes. Iā€™m a happy camper ā€¦ :slight_smile:

I tried all the method mentioned in the guide but none of them worked. Perhaps, itā€™s outdated.
