I cannot change materials, add different ones, map them or customize. I can only load whatever is standard in the download. The render option panel pop up does not have any options to convert. Help. midterms

Hi @Jennifer_Stonerock , What version of Rhino are you using, Rhino 7 probably but I want to make sure. Can you tell me how you are accessing materials? Is it with the Materials panel and is Rhino Render set as the current Renderer? Screenshots would help too to understand what you’re doing and where.
Yes Rhino 7. I try accessing the materials 2 ways. Either through the layer or from the render tab, click the tube of paint. The problem is twofold.
When I access materials through the layer, the pop up material panel appears but without any options for modify the materials. If I click through the series of custom, I can get to the Rhino material folders and pick one of the provided materials, wood, metal, plastic, etc. I can place them as they are but no modifications, no custom materials, no bump, nothing.
When I click the render, tube- the pop up panel never shows up. The description says, yes for it to appear but nothing. (Yet the pop up appears for layer materials)
Are we able to set up a meeting? Can I zoom with you so I can share my screen? I am super frustrated because no one has a solution.

@Jennifer_Stonerock Can you use the Materials command to open the Materials panel and edit materials via that? If not, myself or another tech can do a remote session with you. I’d like to schedule a meeting to resolve the material issues with Rhino. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled and still have issues.
The Materials command does not open material panel. The material panel in layers does not provide any customization, mapping etc. The material application in render does not work either.
I’m available Friday after 1130.

Andy means the Render drop down menu in Rhino > Current Renderer flyout. Is that set to Rhino Render? BTW, I emailed you back yesterday from our tech support address with instructions for if you wanted me to remote control your machine. Reply to that email please if you are ready. I won’t be on tomorrow but another tech will be able to remote in if that’s your only option time wise.
ok. I can work on it later today or tomorrow. I downloaded it before but the person never joined. Not sure if I was doing it correctly.
