the issue keeps haunting me. Is there still no fix to this? Just today, I had the same issue on Rhino 7: Rhino does not let me change the color or anything else on any of the materials I use. I think it must be a bug.
Hopefully everything will be ok in v7.28. That should contain the fix. If there is still some problems, then we will reopen the YT and make a new fix, but I am fairly sure I fixed it.
Note: I was at least able to fix the case when nothing is shown. The other issue that the current contents own section seems missing is probably caused by the same problem. However I could not reproduce that case. So fingers crossed .
Do you experience both of the problems presented in this thread. There are two images in this thread. In the first image no sections are presented for the material and in the other case we see some sections like the name & type section but the contents own section is missing?
I have this problem and have had it for quite some time on both my computers. It works for a while but after I switch around materials on models and go in and out from cycles view a couple of times the details view bugs out and stops updating. Can´t create any new materials or change existing, only a restart helps.

The issue is open. We have tried to fix it, but as we cannot reproduce the problem it is hard. Any hints about what steps need to be done to get the problem would help to solve this. Maybe also a model that has the problem would be great.
