No fillet below 1mm - group command stopped working

Hello to everybody!

recently we have some prblems with Rhino 5 64-bit (WIN 7 on mac pros with bootcamp) in the office:

  1. for me, randomly, the fillet command has a strange problem: it does not alow entry of values below 1 mm
if I type 0.2mm it gets converted to 1mm!!!
closing and reopening Rhino helps, but is not a solution…

  2. today the “group” command stopped working on another computer.
rebooting helped, but it’s also not a solution…

why do randomly certain (simple) commands stop working???

I created a new topic as I didn’t find any similar topic. please excuse if I’m wrong…

I like your new forum, I’m just missing sub-categories… only search function is not always helpful for serching problems…

thanks for your help!!!

Hi WIllem,

thanks for your help!
I have no imported .stl elemnts in this file, as far as I can recall.
also I was not capable of reproducing this error importing some .stl in a new file.

but it could be a cause.
we often get .stl files from china and one colegue confirmed problems with Rhino as also with Maxwell Render (scene could not be saved) and realized he has some super tiny objects from an .stl file that caused the these problems (bead onject in Rhino).

I will continue the investigation!

I hoped a totaly fresh reinstall (including CCleaner check of the registry) would help, but it was not the case.
It seems these files are corupted somehow…
