Next hurdle - a contour carve on guitar heel

All-

I’m continuing to refine my guitar model after a bit of a break - I’ve attached my Rhino 7 file, and a sample photo of what i’m going for.

I would appreciate some input on how to set up guide curves (or other techniques) to get a smooth transition here between the 2 areas that aren’t surfaced yet.

Thanks!

are you forgetting your own threads?

Actually, no, I reviewed that before posting.

Let me expound on what I’m asking:

To approach an external carve like this, would a better strategy be to create some (horizontal?) guide curves and loft a surface as the actual geometry, or do something similar to what we did in the previous thread and start with a solid then loft a ‘negative’ and boolean split?

Here’s a guitar body thread that might be of use.
