hi,Jakob

If Rhino is installed on the C: drive, permission issues may prevent the VPLUS editor from displaying properly. Please try the following:

Set Rhino control permissions:

  1. Navigate to the Rhino installation directory: C:\Program Files\Rhino 8
  2. Right-click in a blank space → Properties → Security → Edit
  3. Select ‘Users’ and check ‘Allow’ for ‘Full control’
  4. Click Apply → OK

After completing these steps, reopen VPLUS and click ‘Connect’ - the login interface should now appear correctly.

VPLUS Plugin: Common Installation/Usage Issues and Solutions

1 Type ‘PackageManager’ in the Rhino command line to open the Package Manager, which may trigger a pop-up error message.

Solution: Disable Windows Firewall.

Go to Windows Settings → Windows Security → Firewall & network protection → Private network & Public network → Turn off.

Then, enter _PackageManager in the Rhino command line again, and the package manager should open normally.
