Hi. I’m a backyard CNC’er who has been content to sandpaper artefacts due my lack of skill with rhino. However I have seen videos of very complex surfaces being modelled simply and quickly and I would like to move in that direction. I have a five sided hole that I can cover and sand in a number of ways by trial and error but I hope someone can at least outline a strategy that will let me put a surface on this simply and with ‘good practice’. Guitar neck/volute issues

Hi All, I am new to Rhino3d (love it BTW) and I am coming to Rhino3d from Fusion360(have hated it a while now). I am attaching the file I have been working from and hopefully it will tell the tale better than I. I do have a bunch of patches that kinda work to illustrate how I want things to flow but there is no way that I know of yet to make it clean and able to be made into a solid for the CNC side of things. Sweep 2 Problem in Neck/Headstock Transition

Hello All - I’m brand new to Rhino and am Tele Headstock Issues.3dm (425.5 KB)having trouble getting the curves to become solids in my guitar neck. I need a flat spot for my locking nut, but those curves seem to “wrinkle” or somehow ruin the smooth transition from the back of the neck to the headstock. I managed to get an okay transition at the heel with Sweep 2, but I’ve hit a wall with the headstock. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bill

Guitar Neck: MatchSrf Between a loft and a trimmed Surface?

Hello Folks, i have a loft and a trimmed surface that i got as a result of using XNurbs, but there’s gaps and not so smooth transitions when using Zebra. Can you MatchSrf These 2 different types of Surfaces? What would you reccomend to do in this case? The red surface is trimmed (XNurbs) and the Blue is a Loft. Hello, I am modeling a guitar neck, and I’ve closed up almost the entire polysurface, except for a single point that is showing as a naked edge. I’d like to create a solid, for further editing and for CNC milling. I’m attaching a photo of the point (lower middle part of photo), and also the file itself. I’ve tried JoinEdge and MatchSurface.
