New Grasshopper-Tekla Live Link 1.21 with feedback opportunity

Hi all, we’ve uploaded a new version of the Grasshopper-Tekla Live Link to Tekla Warehouse.

With this one we’re trying to collect some feedback and ratings for the business to look at, for the link overall (so not just this latest update) - really appreciate if you can take a moment to try the new Feedback component, even to just fill in some numbers :folded_hands:

The button will open a web form (but wouldn’t it be nice if you could input your feedback using panels and sliders - something to think about for the next update :slight_smile:)

Some other new features:

:white_check_mark: Create Bolt Groups with all their attributes.

:white_check_mark: Define and set Base Points for precise geometry placement.

:white_check_mark: Utilize on-the-fly Selection Filters for isolating the stuff you want in the model.

:white_check_mark: Enhanced part editing, with the new “Chamfer Edge” component and improved cutting capabilities.

:white_check_mark: Assembly creation is more flexible but also more robust.

:white_check_mark: Support for custom units in Rhino allows you to work in e.g. US Survey feet.

Thank you for the continuous development.
I’m particularly interested in the creation of bolt groups.
Is there somewhere more documentation or in-depth guide available that explains how to use the bolt components effectively?

Hi Fabio, unfortunately not at this time. But it’s something we definitely should have an example of. Let us know if something doesn’t seem to make sense.

One thing that might not be immediately obvious is how to handle non-orthogonal bolt groups. Here the Calculate Rotation + Bolt Position components are the way to go.
