"New File" bug – new window jumps to back

I’m experiencing a moderately annoying bug in Rhino 8 (Version 8 (8.11.24254.15002, 2024-09-10. MacOS Ventura 13.7, running on an Intel iMac 27"). Whenever I create a new file (command-N), the window jumps to the back. This does not happen when I use the File menu to create a new file.
I can replicate this on my M1 MAX MBP running MacOS 17.
As I said – this i not a big deal – just mildly annoying ;).

lol yeah, that’s been happening to me as well… and yes, mildly annoying

What’s weird is the new window has focus, it’s just not in front

nah.. its pretty awful.. and nobody seems to be working on this bug.. here the tracker RH-83106

RH-83106 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 20
