When I create new file, the window pop under the older file instantly. Please see the video.
It’s a small bug but it’ very irritating when you want to copy something and instantly paste it to the new file.

@Gijs, could you please look at this bug? It has been left unanswered for a long time and it probably won’t be difficult to fix it.
I’ve seen this a couple of times as well, but cannot reproduce it at will.
RH-83380 New file Window does not pop up in front.
there is a different bug tracker and a different topic which revealed what is causing this to happen
@encephalon thanks,
RH-83106 Command popover causes wrong document to be key after Cmd + N
@Gijs It seem that this issue is fixed in the latest update (at least for me). The new window is opened normally on top of the old one.
i would not call it normal, there is still some fighting going on. the new file opens instantly, but the already opened file flicks up once again till the new file finally ends up where it should, having to watch that spectacle for more than 3 seconds till it decides what should be in front is a bit nerve wrecking…
It’s not fixed yet, the YT is open and I can still reproduce the behavior mentioned in the YT
