I am a fresh guy on kangaroo. i want to do two plane object with oppressed bubble in GH. But the shape have small bump-out at the top(sometime it occur at the bottom). when i use solid-point-collide, the interior is false. Please tell me what is wrong in my parameter.
This happens because you set the involved forces so high that they violently push the top vertices of the mesh sphere through the upper and sometimes lower box, at which point the solid-point collision can’t discern between an inside and outside any more and the situation remains “undefined”.
You can mitigate this by making the mesh to be inflated a little bigger from the get-go and by removing the Strength slider from the Volume component.
You can also set the LengthFactor of EdgeLengths to above 1.0. This is a factor which means that it multiplies the length of each mesh edge to define how much it can extend (> 1.0) or shrink (<1.0). When it’s set to 1.0, the mesh obviously can’t deform or stretch much, unless the other involved forces are so high that it can’t resist. But you want a nicely dialled in simulation, right.
Wow, it works. Thanks a lot for your interpretation on detail. I make this script based on other guy’s work. so the logic and value is incorrect.
By the way, I want to learn kangaroo deeply, however, there are few tutorial video on YouTube to explain the input meaning of every battery. Could you give me some website or link about this?
