I’m doing simple furniture parts constructed from panels and when I click on a part and use "Move’ to reposition the part it looks correct in the window I’m working in but when I switch views the part moves in another plane. It happens most of the time but not always… any help will be appreciated
Hi Ellis - the Move, and most commands in Rhino use the current construction plane as the basis for the move - depending on what you want to do, use object snaps, ortho locking tab direction lock, and so on to set up or constrain the move. Object snaps are where I’d look first. My guess is you moved objects in the perspective view and it looks wrong in the ortho views.

Pascal, thx for your reply. I get the problem if I use object snaps or don’t use them. I also get the issue if I use perspective or any other view. generally I dont use perspective when trying to move a part.
Hi Ellis - can you post an example file and describe how to see what you are encountering?

made two rectangles and stacked them. then moved them apart 2". changed view port and stacked them again. then changed view port to front view and the rectangles were positioned together.
Hi Ellis - please post the file.
