I’d like to know if there is any workaround for moving a worksession file from its position without copying it into the file the model it 2as worksessioned in to?
And also if there are any workarounds for placing the different instances of the same file in different positions in the model?

That would pretty much defewat the purpose of a Worksesion.
I think what you’re looking for would be a Linked, or Linked and Embedded Block Instance.

Can I know what’s the purpose / idea behind the worksession feature when the same thing can be achieved using linked block ?
I use Worksession frequently. I attach files with source and reference information, typically large point clouds. The primary file remains independent of the data in the attached files.
