Just wondering if it would be difficult to snap to geometry created by clipping plane. Say having an osnap that isolates objects on the clipping plane. I’d find it useful without the steps of creating that geometry beforehand.
Thanks,
Ernest

Hi Ernest - do you mean snapping to ‘curves’ that are displayed as a result of clipping through a surface, for example? There is no way to do this now, but, in case it helps in creating the reference geomery, I made a script for ‘clipping plane curves’ here : http://wiki.mcneel.com/people/pascalgolay

Hi Pascal,
Yes. I was hoping to eliminate the need to create/extract the section curves, and just be able to snap to the ‘implied’ curves shown via clipping plane. An example scenario might be grabbing dimensions dynamically, or measuring areas…So this isn’t exactly what I was hoping for, but certainly is of use.
Thanks,
