Mesh Repair for 3D Printing

Hello!

Im attempting to 3D print a large scale mock up for this facade panel. When I go to investigate the mesh, the mesh has issues everywhere around the perimeter and towards the very peak indicated in the photo.

The idea is to have this wavy surface with a golf ball like texture fade on it. Ive dialed in the design but cant seem to export a clean mesh.

I believe Im missing something fundamental when it comes to the generation of the mesh.

Hello
I didn’t go very deep but I don’t see why you plugged triangles here

It seems useless to quad remesh.

Mesh is still not good here, green lines are naked edges.

No curve.

Thank you. Both fair responses. If we ignore quad mesh the mesh is still a bad mesh.

My question remains: how do we repair these naked edges in grasshopper?

The problem is not naked edges, but self intersecting faces. It is hard to get your result with that base surface, too dense at the tip, try other approach.

Thank you. That’s clear. Any suggestions?
