Merging Curved Co-Planar Surfaces

Hi Everyone, I have this curved geometry, it originated as a SubD, then into a NURBS Polysurface, which I then brought into GH to extract its faces in hopes of combining all of the discrete faces into a single surface. Not having much luck with it unfortunately. Anyone got any recommendations??

Thanks!

Is this a question about Grasshopper?

Post the .3dm and Grasshopper files with your data.

Updated the original post, I just used GH to see if there were any components that may be able to combine the faces. I don’t care whether it is a GH solution or Rhino, just as long as I can hopefully merge them into one contiguous surface without interior edges of subdivision as the BREP is currently a polysurface.

The goal is to be able to divide the curved surface and generate points on it for further work!

is that okay with you?

how’d you do it?

I used the section command, created multiple sections, reconstructed the curve, and used loft.

You know of anyway to do it in GH?

I’m not good with gh, but the method is the same, section or project the curves onto the brep, then use loft

Hi Cameron -

Depending on the details of that, the ShapeMap might do what you need…

You can use ShapeMap to map the pattern to this berp, fyi,
