Hi, I dream about MergeEdges command with a built-in option to automatically match curves from G0 to G1 to merge edges successfully all the time. If not then I would like to MergeEdges works only same as MergeCrv. For now, they work differently even on the same edges/curves.
SplitEdges is straightforward but MergeEdges needs all the time to untrimAll match manually all curves (or MergeCrv) and trim again. OffsetSrf produces split edges that can`t be merged with MergeEdge.
Do you know the script for that or maybe it’s a planned future feature (additional option in MergeEdges)?
It’s also strange to me that MergeEdge doesn’t work on split edge but after untrimAll mergeCrv works fine. Why can’t MergeEdges work the same as mergeCrv but on surface edges? In theory, it should be the same IMO.
It’s also possible to dupEdge all split edges do MergeCrv on them and use ReplaceEdge to switch that merged curve/edge but I can’t still understand why MergeCrv works on the same edges which MergeEdges can`t.
