A very simple and beginner level task. But finding it difficult to accomplish. Merging faces which essentially were created from a same unified face earlier.
Tried mergecoplanarface .. but doesn’t allow to select. tried similar other commands but they don’t work. What am I doing wrong ?

Those two surfaces are clearly not planar.
You can extract both, delete one, and scale 1D the remaining one.

Ok that’s a way that is longer. But isn’t there a way to stitch them ? Since they are along the same extrusion ?

You could try extracting both and then running MergeSrf on them.
