Make 2d leaving hundereds of split curves and lines

Hi Folks,

I have used the make 2d command on an object I am drawing but it’s leaving the final 2d drawing split into hundereds or thousands of tiny parts…it would take hours to join it all together. Is there a method to converts this drawing into solid lines and curves easily?

Which version of Rhino are you using? Please also attach your 3dm file.
