Lofting problems, twisted result

hello, i have no idea why this happens. i’ve tried changing the loft options (ex: refit, rebuild, align curves) but the right loft result is still twisted.

any idea how to fix this loft? the file is attached down below
Parametric Roster 2_trial.gh (58.8 KB)

Looks OK to me. R7 on Win 10, unit tolerance = 0.001.

This code, on the other hand, is a mess!!

Instead of duplicating so much code, it looks like some of your geometry could be rotated 90 degrees, then mirrored?

P.S. Sorry, “mess” was probably a bad choice of words. Overly complex, perhaps? The shape looks very interesting, it just seems that rotation and mirror could save you half the work?

thank you for the reply! appreciate it. However, the result hasn’t changed for me, still twisted even after changing the unit tolerance

Looks OK here as well, no changes to your file.

Rhino V7.36 on macOS
tolerance 0.001

i see, thank you for answering. i think the problem is happening only in my Rhino then.

to make sure, the ‘tolerance’ you guys are talking about is in the DocumentProperties, right?

In Rhino (not GH), ‘View | Display Options… | Units | Absolute tolerance’

good also on R8 SR3 (8.3.24002.13001, 2024-01-02) default tolerance (0.001 units)

what Rhino version are you using?

hello everyone.
i think i’ve resolved my problems by trying to use the sweep2 command. thank you for all the replies and suggestions. appreciate it a lot.

You tried to align seams?
