Locating an explicit intersection

Hello to all.

Using Rhino 5/6, I would like to find an explicit intersection between two irregular curves. ‘IntersectTwo’ does not appear to assist.

If I wanted to locate an explicit intersection of an explicit length, how best can I accomplish this?

In the example posted in line, I would like to know exactly where this 8" line will fall between these curves.

Hi Steven - copy each curve 4 units in the line (Y axis) direction. The line will have its midpoint on the intersection of the copies.
