Linetypes display incorrectly

Hello,

There seems to be some problems with how linetypes are displayed. Linetypes display incorrectly but in this case when printing out everything is fine in the pdf. Here’s a simple default file where I have drawn a 10 000mm rectangle offset it in 200mm, set the linetype as dash dot and set the global linetypescale to 100. The scale in the detail view is 1:100. Model view and layout view look the same (wrong), printed pdf looks fine.

I have some more problems printing out layouts with correct linetypes in Rhino 8 if I import to Rhino 7 they work fine. But we may start with this bug…

Print is done with Rhino PDF and bug is both in SR5 and latest SR6.

Good to hear, thank you sir!

Our CNC customers will also share this concern.

@wim Glad to see your comment that ExtractLineTypeSegments provides correct result - so at least they will cut correctly

Can we get a file and set up steps to see this? We will compare to Rhino 7 and log a bug.
Also open Rhino and SystemInfo. Copy and paste the results here.

Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier

Sorry I forgot to answer you.

These are the steps after opening Rhino:

  1. Rectangle on origo, 10000 units sides
  2. Offset rectangle 200 units inside
  3. Change linetype of both curves to DashDot
  4. SetLinetypeScale to 100
