At the moment I need to run Command LinetypeDisplay every time when opening a file.
Is it possible that this setting is saved into .3dm?
Would be useful.

Go to your Document Properties>General> and add the “LinetypeDisplay” into the Command list for startup
I also think so, it should be permanently saved within the document.

you suggestion would only work for the model space, and one would probably not want to turn it on for every file that gets opened
when you have many layouts, you need to toggle each separately right now
