Lines on Vray Material after Object is tilted?

Hello,

I have been trying to render an image all day but cannot figure out why it will not let me render materials on tilted objects. It doesn’t matter which material it is and the texture mapping does not affect it either. Does anybody know, what the problem could be?

Any help would be much appreciated!! Thank you

Hi,

could you give a little bit more context, or if possible, share a simple model that demonstrates the issue.
Mind that there is no “tilted” objects in Rhino, since it lacks local coordinate system. Every object is just vertices and faces in world space, unless it is a block instance
I tried to simulate your render with a simple bitmap, and it expectedly works:

Your bitmap is exactly what the model in rhino is like! This is how it should work.

Thats why I am so confused…I cannot find an explanation for it not working, other than a bug with the computer/programme.

Thanks for looking into it!!

@Ada1 pls share a model and any textures you want on the box model to appear. It can be a mapping issue, which is not necessarily related to V-Ray, but applies to any render engine you use.

Hi! I ended up updating Vray to the newest version - this fixed it! It was a bug after all!

Just curious, which version of V-Ray did you have before ?

Sorry for the late reply, I don’t know where it shows which version it is
