Lines and curves are invisible

Hi All,

I have searched a lot but couldn’t find an answer to my problem. Lines, isocurves are invisible or slightly visible on all of the viewports. I tried GL tessalation but didin’t work. This happens for whatever file I open.

One thing I caught is if I open raytraced view, then curves are seen on all ports somehow, but as soon as I close raytraced and navigate in the view, they become invisible again. Another one is if make curve pixel thickness higher like 8, I can see the curves, but I still can’t see the edges of surfaces etc.

Below is my systeminfo.

Hope you can find a solution,

Kind regards,

Below are same pictures, I highlighted on one to show there are curves there.

Have you customized any view settings?

What happens when a viewport is in wireframe mode?

Hello David,

This is what I see in Wireframe mode, and I did change edge thickness before (in view>displaymode>shaded>surface edge settings) from 2 to 1. But I have restored all settings and also reinstalled Rhino 6. But lines are still the same.

I have also uploaded the file that I took screenshot from.

Test Model.3dm (815.8 KB)

I openned the file and it looked normal to me.

How did you “restored all settings”?

Does any other software have display issues on your system?

I am using AUTOCAD but nothing like this on that one.

In the settings of Rhino, on some tabs there is a “Restore to Default” feature, I used it to restore my Rhino settings. Altough I have only changed the surface edge settings before.

And I have also tried reinstalling Rhino 6.

Hello- it looks like you have two monitors-

Are these running at the recommended resolutions?

What happens if you swap which one is primary? Or disconnect one monitor? Any change?

Hello Pascal,

I have my display’s in recommended settings. Right now I have tried your suggestions and no change unfortunately.

In the office I am working on, we have around 30 computers with exactly same spec and configuration, but only mine has this problem. I am working with this one for a month now and it started happening last Friday.

Hi Mert -

Is it possible that Windows updated itself right before that?
We’ve seen several cases where an update messes with the drivers for the GPU. I would try a manual download and installation of the newest driver on the NVIDIA site - NVIDIA DRIVERS NVIDIA RTX / Quadro Desktop and Notebook Driver Release 470 WHQL

Dear Wim,

Unfortunately IT says that driver is not compatible with my desktop and my GPU driver is up to date. Do you have any suggestions. This is an extremely frustrating problem.

Hello - a clean re-install of your current driver, then, may be worth a try.
