Line type scales, hatch scales, custom object scales etc

We are working on plans and layouts and have a constant battle when setting up new documents with the correct linetype scales etc. Hatches have their own “Enable Hatch Scaling” so we can see in 3D the same scale we see in 2D (ish, depending on the detail scale)

(PS! Please don’t suggest that we set the settings right and update the default document to these settings, this is an issue that a lot of users struggle with, so to me it clearly needs an update)

But linetypes don’t have this scaling option on a per object setting. There we have an overall linetype scaling instead. And when we print we can choose to use the view matching or the pattern definition.
But then if we use a scaling of the line patterins and add a line in a detail and a similar line on the layout they don’t look the same.

And if we don’t use a scaling of the linetypes then they look wrong in 3D space.

So can you please make linetype scaling act like hatch scaling?
And put the scaling settings for hatches and linetypes together and remove them linetype options from the print dialog? IMO they belong on the same place in the document settings and each Layout should have an override.

in the current WIP there is a per object line scale.

There is currently no linescale option for model space, I assume you mean this setting that is available for hatches:

This is how it currently looks in the WIP. The two lines in this image have the same linetype appearance. Scale of the detail is 4:1

Time to check out the WIP then I guess… :expressionless: Sorry for not checking first.
I’ll run some tests there and I’ll come back to you if I see some issues.
