Layers panel at the bottom of the screen

The color of the layer at the bottom of the screen is no longer displayed, what could be the cause of this?
Previously, a square layer color was displayed.

A horizontal scroll bar appears to be present, but this was not previously present.

Hi @jack3,

Getting the results of SystemInfo will help. Also provide us with how much you’ve scaled your screen resolution in Windows.

Thanks,

Dale

Hi @dale
I have not changed the resolution of Windows.
I just updated to SR19.

Hello,

Is the layer that’s missing its color currently selected, hidden, or locked?

Best Regard,
Emily

It is not locked or hidden.

Layer Panel

Until a few days ago, a small square image was displayed to the left of the layer name.
The following image shows the normal display of Rhino7.

Hi @jack3,

How many monitors do you have?

What is scale of each display (System > Display)?

For example:

If you have more than one monitor, which one does Rhino start on? (which is your primary?)

Do you think this issue was caused by SR19?

Also, can I get a screen capture that includes some of the status bar?

– Dale

Hi @dale

I have two monitors, but are verifying with one.

The current resolution of the monitor is 1920x1080. Scale is 100%.
Rhino is displayed on a monitor called EV2450.
But I have not changed these settings.

The only thing I have done in the last few days is to update the NVIDIA drivers.
The only other thing I have done is to open the svg editor several times to change the icons of the plugins I created to svg.

I am not sure if SR19 is the cause.
The reason I ask is that I think I had this symptom before I updated to SR19. But I don’t remember this exactly.

Since I am Japanese, I usually display the UI in Japanese, but occasionally I display the English ver for plugin testing.

The symptoms seem to be the same in both Japanese and English.

Please let me know if there are any other captured images needed.
Has a similar issue been reported?

best

No, we’ve not had other reports of this.

Try increasing the with of the layer pane:

You’ll need to close and restart Rhino for this setting to take effect.

The image when the position is set to “3”.

This image shows the default setting of “2”.

Is this setting to change only the layer display at the bottom of the screen?

Yes.

– Dale

But of course, I have not changed this setting myself.
The blank space on the right side is somewhat weird …
Are you saying that this layered section will not be changed unless the above settings are changed?

To begin with, it is very difficult to see the small square image on the right side. It used to be on the left.
Why do you think the layer icons suddenly moved to the right?

Was Rhino8 showing layer colors on the right side by default?

Hi Jack -

I just checked Rhino 8.1 from 2023-09-18, and that seems to be the case, yes.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this.
