Rhino, at least in the case of Layer name changes, works differently than Windows and Directory Opus works with files and folders, this leads to frustration due to unwanted editing of the Layer name.
The video shows that in both Windows and DO I can select the folder, wait a moment, and then click once to trigger the name change - this is the expected behavior. However, I can avoid editing the name (even though the folder/file is already selected) and still enter the folder by double-clicking. In Rhino, having previously selected Layer, I cannot double-click on it to activate it, it will always trigger the renaming procedure - this is a difference from the system and it is annoying.
I would expect the same behavior as in the system, because it is a predictable action, it does not take anything away from anyone, and on the other hand allows for more convenient use of one of the most important Panels in Rhino.
I hope the video shows well when I single click and when I double click.
PS
I know that I could avoid this by not clicking on the name, but on the checkmark, but it makes no sense to click on such a small field and I don’t think anyone does it.
Please carefully follow the list from my previous post and tell me if you activated the layer or triggered layer rename.
You can do the same to some folder using Windows Explorer and write the results.
