Layer color in Object Props dropdown

In (8.0.22319.12305, 2022-11-15), The Object Layer color dropdown shows the wrong color next to layer names after the color for the layer has been changed. I think it’s ok if you don’t change the layer color.

Also, the current draw color for previewing curve drawing doesn’t get updated when you change the layer color. That is, if a layer color is red and you draw a line, the preview is, and should be in red, but if you then change the layer color to green and draw another line, the preview is still red.

It also shows up in the color swatch in the ChooseOneObject dialog. I suppose it’s all from the same thing.

Thanks @Lowell1, I see that.

RH-71401 is fixed in the latest WIP

Not sure if this is the same bug, but in Rhino 8 Version 8 (8.23.25251.13002, 2025-09-08) the layer color is being displayed as a random color in the Object Information tab.

In the first screenshot you see that the layer “1:50 Staffage gelb” and “1:50 Staffage pink” have both a red square in front despite the layer’s color being yellow and a dark red, respectively, as shown in the second screenshot from the layers tab..

Hi Mail -

Please post or upload that 3dm file.

Thanks Wim. Here’s the file.

It seems really odd to me. When I select one object the colors are either swapped or just greys and blacks in the dropdown menu. When I select another object the coloured squares seem to be the correct colours as they appear in the regular layers panel.

Hi Viktor -
Thanks for that file.

I’m not seeing that here on my system. Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here.
