Lands Design animation tool

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with the animation tool in that when I try to select a curve for the camera path I get an error saying “selected object is not a curve.” I have tried open and closed curves, arcs, lines, and other ways of forming the path I want, and almost every attempt gives me the same error. I have managed to create a couple of curves that are successful paths, but I cannot figure out the logic to why some curves work and others do not. Also, as soon as I modify or move any of the curves, it stops being an accepted path.

Is anyone else having this issue or do we know if there is a tutorial available for rendering and animation to show me where I am going wrong? I see there is supposed to one coming soon.

I am using Lands Design as a plugin for Rhino 8 and everything is up-to-date.

Thanks

Hi Brian, can you send to “lands@asuni.com” the 3dm file with that curve so that we can figure out why Lands is rejecting it? You can delete any other object in the document if you want.

Thanks for sharing the file.
The kind of curves that are failing when used as camera path are polycurves. We already fixed the error, and the fix will be available in version 6.3, coming soon. Thanks for reporting it.

The reason some curves that worked stops working after you modify them is that you edit them in a way that brakes its continuity and Rhino needs to change the curve type to polycurve.

We already published Lands Design 6.3 that fixes this issue.
