I am new to Karamba 3D with not much structural understanding, but I did a very simple truss script that could evaluate best location of vertical members according to a specific point load. Even tough the definition is not showing errors, I believe there must be something wrong.
Yes, my model is in meters, as Karamba works in that metric system.

a) I recommend a solid structural understanding when using FEA. Otherwise it is hard to understand if the results make sense… still a good way to learn
b) this is not a truss, but a Vierendeel system
c) unfortunately Karamba 3 for Mac does not exist yet. If you send me the version with the version 2.2, I can maybe help
