Job Opportunity: Looking for a Freelance 3D Modeler for a CNC Project

Hi everyone,

We are currently producing traditional wood paneling with detailed carvings. Our process involves scanning the initial carvings to machine a series of panels, which will be hand-carved to achieve a traditional finish.

The initial designs have been scanned, and we are looking for a 3D modeler who can manipulate these scans to replicate the designs on other parts and prepare the necessary files for CNC machining.

If you’re interested and available, please feel free to contact me for more details!

Sound interesting, what scanner did you use?

Can you share an image of a mesh of a scanned object?

Hi Martin

The mesh image I shared with you was post-processed in ZBrush by the person who handled the scan. However, I am currently in the process of retrieving the raw scans from the EinScan scanner. If you’re interested, I can send you the raw scans for your review to get your opinion on the feasibility of the project.

Would you be open to a call to discuss this further ?

So what kind of geometry are you expecting for CNC machining?

Nurbs?

Hello @Gonnon,
Hope you are doing great.

I’m interested in helping with your wood paneling project. With experience in 3D modeling and CNC machining, I can manipulate your scanned carvings to replicate designs and prepare files for CNC machining.

Let’s discuss your needs and how I can assist. Looking forward to your response.

Hi @Gonnon,

Are you still looking for assistance with this project?

I have experience utilizing 3D scans for CNC Routing. Primarily with Rhino CAM as well if that’s what you’re using.

Feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss the details.

Best,
Christopher
