Is this even possible?

Hi there. I downloaded a revit family object with multiple parameters (is a mini crane) that has different angle rotations.

I wanted to simulate this inside GH since a need a more smooth and continous design process. BUT I thought, MAYBE there is a way that I can just import all the family parameters to grasshopper?

Hope this makes sense.
Basically, instead of editing the properties of the family, changing the angle, click apply, then see the result and so on, I would like to do it inside gh. I have an idea how to do this? I can also share the definition later on once is a bit more developed, but for now, I just wonder if this is even possible.

I can share the Revit file is someone is also interested in testing

Thanks!

These are the Type parameters you can change to effect the rest of the formulas.

Access the Type in the project to modify, changing those to Instance parameters is also an option

Thank you so much for your reply! This arised two other questions, if you could help me with this too! The element parameters are all set, but I believe that because the geometry comes from the original family of revit, moving the slides doesn’t change the geometry. I believe I should connect all this parameters to a new graphic element, right? Could you help me a bit with this too?

Another question that got into my mind, even though rhino inside revit only works in windows, could you internalise in some way this data to be used in a regular rhino? I ask this because I will need to share in the future the file with my client, not sure if he will be able to navigate in it.

Thank you again so much for your help

The changing of parameters isn’t changing the family? We will need to see the file, you can send it to me privately if need be.

I’ll also you show how to bake to Rhino. What version of Rhino are you using?
