Installation, Metahopper in Rhino8

I am trying to install metahopper on Rhino8. First, is Metahopper 1.2.4 for GH in Rhino 6+ what I should be using?
When I try to install it, I receive an error window “File type not supported by Rhinceros c:\Users\Keith\Downloads\metahopper_0(1).gha”. What should I do to fix this error?
